Mikael Simonsen heads the investment operations of ICECAPITAL Asset Management Ltd and develops new asset management services.

Mr. Simonsen is counted among the most skilled investment professionals in Finland. Before joining ICECAPITAL he was the Head of Tactical Allocation at the Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company, being responsible for the tactical allocation of the entire portfolio as well as the commodity and foreign exchange positions. Before that, he acted as a strategist responsible for preparing the investment plan and analyzing portfolio structures and new asset classes. He also has broad experience of investment-related tasks at Gyllenberg and WM-data. Mr. Simonsen holds a Master of Science degree in finance and investment from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration.

Jyri Tanskanen is in charge of ICECAPITAL’s fixed income investments. He is a founding partner of the company.

Mr. Tanskanen has more than a decade of experience in the fixed income markets. He has worked for Merita (now Nordea), SEB Group and eQ Bank as a bond dealer, proprietary trader and market maker. He holds a Master of Social Sciences degree in economics from Helsinki University.

Esa Saloranta is the portfolio manager for ICECAPITAL Global Utilities & Energy and ICECAPITAL Global Infrastructure funds with an in-depth knowledge of entire global energy system, and holds a key role in Private Equity investments. He joined ICECAPITAL in January 2004 when he made the first listed real estate fund in Finland, ICECAPITAL European Property.

Mr. Saloranta has more than 22 years of global experience in the investment industry. Previously, he worked as Managing Director and Partner of Evli Fixed Income Securities Ltd and with managing responsibilities of Evli Bank Plc. He has active trading background in currency, debt, money markets, and equity.
